PAT Terms & Conditions

People Art Traders (PAT) is a community where people can offer their labour, skills, services, art, goods and other things of value.

By joining or participating in PAT, you agree to the following:

Membership fees.
PAT is currently free to join and participate in while the community grows.

PAT may introduce membership fees, paid membership levels or charges for particular services or features in the future. Any applicable fees and terms will be clearly communicated before they take effect. We envisage a flexible, service-based membership structure, allowing PATizens to choose the level of support and services that suits them.

Be truthful.
Profiles, advertisements, listings, proof of work and information you provide should honestly represent you and what you are offering.

Respect ownership.
PATizens retain ownership of their own art, writing, photographs, designs, ideas and other original work. Joining PAT does not transfer that ownership to PAT or to another PATizen. Do not copy, reproduce, sell or use another person's work without their permission.

Trade directly and responsibly.
PAT primarily helps people find each other and exchange value. Unless a transaction is specifically processed through PAT, the people involved agree between themselves on price or value, payment, delivery, timing and fulfilment.

Payments through PAT.
Where an item or service is specifically advertised, sold and paid for through PAT, PAT may receive the payment and arrange payment of the applicable proceeds to the PATizen providing it.

PAT vouchers and the ledger.
PAT vouchers and ledger entries may be used to record genuine value, work completed or obligations between participants. Any voucher should clearly state what backs it, its value and the conditions applying to its use or redemption.

Respect other PATizens.
Treat people fairly. Do not use PAT for misleading, fraudulent, unlawful, abusive or deliberately harmful activity.

You are responsible for what you offer.
PATizens are responsible for ensuring that the labour, services, goods or other things they offer are lawful, safe and appropriately licensed or qualified where required.

PAT may protect the community.
PAT may refuse, remove or correct profiles, advertisements, listings or participation where reasonably necessary to protect the community, the integrity of the platform or the rights of others.

PAT is growing.
PAT is an evolving community and platform. These terms may be updated as PAT develops new ways to trade, record value and exchange goods and services.
